Celebrations - Wedding Milestones

This past week my parents celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary! It was a wonderful occasion for our family and I wish them another 30 years of pure happiness. Being a wedding and portrait photographer I have the honor to witness many important moments in my career. I love capturing a special moment between a bride and groom, a special kiss during an engagement session, a bonding moment between mother and baby, and many happy smiles between families. 

Below is a photo of the two lovebirds on their first wedding anniversary. The photo was taken by a close friend during their celebration dinner and later processed in my dad's basement darkroom (My dad has a great love for photography and I have many images from my childhood that were photographed and processed in his custom darkroom, I may share them soon :) 

I love everything about this image! Their both very candid and awesome to be around and this photo shines how happy their personalities really are! I also love how photographs can freeze a moment and allow us share it with others many years later :)

My message to everyone is don't ever hesitate to capture an important milestone in your life and celebrate it with your family many years later. As a photographer the best part of my job is the wonderful stories I hear from clients in the emotions they feel when looking back on all the important moments of their wedding  and images of their growing families.
